Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is at the heart of FightSportsUK. It's a grappling art built around leverage, positioning, timing and technique rather than size or strength. Our BJJ classes in Harlow, Essex welcome adults from complete beginners through to experienced competitors, taught by coaches who still get on the mats themselves.

What to Expect

Every class combines movement and drilling of core techniques, such as sweeps, submissions and guard passing, broken down step by step before you practise with a partner.

From there we move into live positional rolling, where you apply what you've just drilled against a resisting partner at a pace matched to your experience. Beginners are never thrown straight into hard sparring.

Classes close with open rolling for those who want it, and coaches circulate throughout to correct grips, posture and timing individually rather than just running through the motions.
